WMS_EVENT_DESCRIBE

The client has requested a description of the content. This description contains media initialization information such as the number and types of audio and video streams and their associated bit rates. The server saves the requested information in the IWMSStreamHeaderList and IWMSContentDescriptionList interfaces. You can retrieve pointers to these interfaces from the presentation context. Because a client can receive content information from sources other than a Windows Media server, such as a Session Description Protocol (SDP) file, the WMS_EVENT_DESCRIBE event is not guaranteed to be raised before a client requests streams from the server. However, the WMS_EVENT_OPEN event is guaranteed.
