This section introduces the Microsoft® DirectMusic® Producer project workspace and guides you through a few basic tasks. As you complete a simple project, you will get acquainted with many features of this application.

The Quick Start section takes the form of step-by-step lessons. Each lesson includes links to other parts of the documentation that describe the user interface in more detail. It is suggested that you work through the lessons to become familiar with basic tasks of segment design, and then move on to explore the parts of the application that are most relevant to what you want to accomplish.

A more advanced tutorial is contained in the My Documents\DMUSProducer\Tutorial8 folder. That tutorial is documented separately.
