Sequence Track

Windows Media Encoder SDK banner art

The sequence track contains MIDI sequence data. Unlike a Pattern Track, a sequence track does not respond to chords in aChord Track, and does not contain variations.

Each sequence track contains data for a single part, is played on a single PChannel, and belongs to a single track group. Sequence tracks that belong to the same track group are grouped together in the segment editing window, but each has its own Sequence Track Properties.

Initially, all sequence tracks are displayed in a minimized version in which the notes are represented graphically as thin colored lines. The following figure shows four separate sequence tracks in minimized form.

To open a sequence track for editing, double-click it or click its Maximize button. For more information on the maximized window, see Note Editing Windows.

When maximized, the editing window for each track contains a strip at the bottom, labeled CC, that contains curves for Continuous Controllers.
