NdisDeregisterProtocol

This function releases the resources allocated when the driver calls the NdisRegisterProtocol function.

IN NDIS_HANDLE NdisProtocolHandle );

Parameters

  • Status
    Pointer to a caller-supplied variable that is set to NDIS_STATUS_SUCCESS on return from this function.
  • NdisProtocolHandle
    Specifies the handle returned by NdisRegisterProtocol when the driver initialized.

Remarks

NdisDeregisterProtocol does not unbind the protocol from adapters. This means that the caller must ensure that no adapters are bound to the protocol (by calling NdisCloseAdapter) prior to deregistering the protocol.

Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
