For the Microsoft ESB Guidance to install properly, the following conditions must exist in the target environment:

  • Microsoft ESB Guidance source and sample code is distributed as a .zip file. In the current release, the supported installation is for the files to reside in the folder C:\Projects\Microsoft.Practices.ESB. The BizTalk binding files that ship with the samples depend on this path.
  • The default BizTalk security groups must exist and have appropriate permissions to access resources.
  • The default BizTalk Hosts must exist.
