Client Migration from Live Communications Server 2005
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
All Live Communicator 2005 clients can operate with servers running Office Communications Server 2007 R2, but only the Live Communicator 2005 feature set will be available. To make the new features of Office Communications Server 2007 R2 available to your users, you must deploy Office Communicator 2007 R2.
