How to: Start the Speech Server Administrator Console

To manage Speech Server components, use the Speech Server Administrator console. This tool provides an easy-to-use graphical interface for configuring and managing Speech Server components, such as servers, applications, and SIP peers.
Note
To access and modify settings using the Speech Server??Administrator console, you must be a member of the local Administrator group on the computer running the console and on any computers running Speech Server that you manage from the console.
Speech Server can also be administered using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) scripts. For more information, see Speech Server Administration Through WMI.
Note
The Speech Server Administrator console is a snap-in for Microsoft Management Console (MMC). If you want to manage Speech Server in the same console window that you are using to manage other services, you can add the Speech Server snap-in to an existing console. For more information about adding snap-ins, see MMC Help.
Starting the Speech Server Administrator Console
To start the Speech Server Administrator console from the Start menu
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server, and then click Administrator Console.
To start the Speech Server Administrator console at the command prompt
Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type cd "%programfiles%\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server\Common\Management", and then press ENTER.
Type mss.msc, and then press ENTER.
