Sends a request message.

Namespace: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi
Assembly: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi (in microsoft.office.interop.uccapi.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Sub SendRequest ( _
    pRequest As UccSignalingRequest, _
    pOpContext As UccOperationContext _
)
void SendRequest (
    UccSignalingRequest pRequest,
    UccOperationContext pOpContext
)
void SendRequest (
    UccSignalingRequest^ pRequest,
    UccOperationContext^ pOpContext
)
void SendRequest (
    UccSignalingRequest pRequest,
    UccOperationContext pOpContext
)
function SendRequest (
    pRequest : UccSignalingRequest,
    pOpContext : UccOperationContext
)

Parameters

  • pOpContext
    A value of the IUccOperationContext* (UccOperationContext, for a .NET application) type. The default value is NULL. This is the application-defined context for this asynchronous operation.

Remarks

This is an asynchronous operation. The status of completion of the operation is returned in an OnSendRequest event as defined in the _IUccSignalingChannelEvents dispinterface. The receiving party must implement the OnIncomingMessage (of the _IUccSignalingChannelEvents) and advise an instance of this interface of the implementation to accept or reject this requeue and handle the received message.

Win32 COM/C++ Syntax

HRESULT SendRequest
(
   IUccSignalingRequest* pRequest,
   IUccOperationContext* pOpContext
);

Note

In a Win32 application, the return value of a method or property is always an HRESULT value indicating the status of the call to the interface member. Any result of the operation is returned as a parameter marked with the [out, retval] attribute. In contrast, in a .NET application the HRESULT value indicating an error condition is returned as a COM exception and the [out, retval] parameter becomes the return value. For the UCC API-defined HRESULT values, see Error Codes.

Thread Safety

All public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
