Property Value

A value of the IUccCollection** (IUccCollection, for a .NET application) type. Each element of the returned collection is an IUccPublishableCategoryInstance object.

Remarks

The category instances within the collection returned by this property can be modified and updated in the collection before the publication is published. After publication, the publication object cannot be used for further publication. The publication and category instance collection contained within should be destroyed. An application should wait for the OnPublish event before destroying the publication object.

Note

In a Win32 application, the return value of a method or property is always an HRESULT value indicating the status of the call to the interface member. Any result of the operation is returned as a parameter marked with the [out, retval] attribute. In contrast, in a .NET application the HRESULT value indicating an error condition is returned as a COM exception and the [out, retval] parameter becomes the return value. Example

The following example wraps the PublishableCategoryInstances property in a public property exposed by a class in an example application. The public property returns the IUccCollection of publishable category instances added to the publication object.
