With Microsoft Office Developer, you can build integrated Web- and SQL-based solutions that automate business processes easily. The functionality of the core features and services in the Microsoft Access Workflow Designer for Microsoft SQL Server™ make it possible for departments to create team solutions. Team solutions are applications that take advantage of workflow, offline, and integrated security to automate business processes so team members can work together more efficiently.

A team solution consists of a database and a Web-based user interface. The information concerning workflow services as well as user data is stored in SQL Server 7.0 databases. The Access Workflow Designer client also uses the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE), data access pages, and Office 2000 to provide offline solutions.

When you install Access Workflow Designer, you get development and administrative tools, as well as a team template built on a framework from which you can create ready-to-run applications. Developers can use the Access Workflow Designer to create new team solutions and templates and to build solutions based on existing databases.
