About Data Movement jobs

The data movement job moves data between models, based on a formal association that has been created between the models. For more information, see How do I create an association to move data between models?

This job can be started, but cannot be created, from PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel.

Note

You cannot run two instances of a Data Movement job at the same time. To do so may cause some job instances to fail.

Templates and properties

If you select the Data Movement template for this job, you must set the following properties to run the job:

Job property name Description

Source Model Site

This site contains the source model. The values that you can select for Source Model and Target Model Site will vary based on the site that you select here.

Source Model

The model from which data will be moved. This field is for models belonging to the Source Model Site.

Target Model Site

This site contains the destination model. The values that you can select for Target Model will vary, based on the model that you select here.

Target Model

The destination to which data will be moved. This field is for models belonging to the Target Model Site.

Association

Name of the association created between the source and the target models.

Existing Data

Select Append to add new data, Scoped Replacement to refresh existing data, or Full Replacement to replace existing data with new data.

Validate

Select True to validate data integrity, False to indicate no validation.

Refresh Model Data

Select True to reprocess the destination model data after the association has run successfully. Select False to indicate that no reprocessing is required.
