Deploying rules and variables

After you create or modify a business rule, you can deploy the rule in the Model Summary workspace. Deploying the rule makes the rule available to users of Planning Business Modeler or PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel.

Important

You must deploy a model before you can deploy the rules that are that are contained in that model.

To deploy a rule

  1. In the Planning Business Modeler Site Browser pane, click Models.

  2. In the models workspace, click a model to open it.

  3. If you have not yet checked out the model, click Checkout in the Model Tasks pane.

  4. In the Model Tasks pane, click Deploy rules and variables.
