AdministrationMetadataCatalog.GetLobSystems Method

Gets the collection of external systems whose names match the specified wildcard name.

Namespace:  Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration
Assembly:  Microsoft.SharePoint (in Microsoft.SharePoint.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Function GetLobSystems ( _
    wildcardedName As String _
) As LobSystemCollection
'Usage
Dim instance As AdministrationMetadataCatalog
Dim wildcardedName As String
Dim returnValue As LobSystemCollection

returnValue = instance.GetLobSystems(wildcardedName)
public LobSystemCollection GetLobSystems(
    string wildcardedName
)

Parameters

  • wildcardedName
    Type: System.String

    The name that uses a wildcard.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration.LobSystemCollection
The specified collection of external systems.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

The wildcardedName parameter is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

BDC uses '*' as the wildcard character and the '\' as the escape character. For example, to obtain all external systems which have names starting with "C", and ending with "s*12", this method should be called with "C*s\*12". This will return both "Customers*12" and "Cs*12", but not "CratesOf12" or "Cs\*12".
