Return Values

Most RPC protocol methods have return values. The Return Values section can have three subsections. The Success subsection shows return values of successful methods and the Error subsection shows return values of unsuccessful methods. Some methods also have a third subsection, Sample Return Code.

If a method does not have a return value, the Return Values section contains the statement:

This method has no return value.

The Success subsection can vary and is fully discussed in Successful Return Values which also covers the Sample Return Code subsection.

The Error subsection contains a link to the descriptions for SharePoint Team Services error message format or the FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 standard error message format. Some methods also list error messages that are specific to the method in use.
