Protocol Handlers

This section provides reference material on the interfaces, methods, and properties that are available for protocol handlers in Microsoft® SharePoint™ Portal Server 2001.

Protocol handlers are software components of the Filter Daemon that extend the capabilities of the SharePoint Portal Server Search service and allow content outside of the document library in the workspace to be crawled.
