The FullTextSearchSupported property of the SPGlobalConfig class gets a Boolean value that specifies whether full-text search is supported in the Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services deployment.

Property Value

true if full-text search is enabled; otherwise, false.

Remarks

Search features are only available for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or with Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. If you are using Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine 2000 (MSDE) for your database, and do not have SharePoint Portal Server, no search features are available.
