You can perform a check to confirm whether all services that are required or recommended are running on a server in the farm. The SharePoint Central Administration Web site provides reports about any issues with how services are configured, the effect of those issues, and where you can configure the services to resolve issues.

Determine services enabled in farm

Use this procedure to determine the different services enabled in farm.

Determine services enabled in farm

  1. On the top navigation bar of Central Administration, click Application Management.

  2. On the Application Management page, in the Office SharePoint Server Shared Services section, click Check Services enabled in this Farm. The Check Services Enabled in this Farm page lists the issues faced when configuring services in the following columns:

    • Service - Name of the service.

    • Issue - Problem encountered when configuring the service.

    • Impact - Effect of the issue on the farm server.

    • Action - Solution to resolve the issue.

  3. In the Action column, click the link that corresponds to the issue that you want to resolve. A configuration page appears that corresponds to the issue. You can edit settings on this page to fix the issue.
