ActivityFeedGatherer class
This object, member, or enumeration is deprecated and is not intended to be used in your code. SharePoint 2013 includes the following APIs for working with feeds: .NET client, JavaScript, REST, and server. Represents the base class for all activity feed gatherers.

Remarks
Each gatherer creates an ActivityApplication object for itself. Only users who are administrators of the User Profile Service Application can use the methods in this class.
Thread safety
Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
