When you download multiple files and folders from Windows Home Server by using Remote Access, you can choose between two compressed file formats:

  • Self-extracting program file with an .exe extension

    This is the default compressed file format. This option supports file names that contain international characters. For example, if you have files names that use Japanese characters, you should choose this option.

  • Compressed file with a .zip file name extension

    This option has limited support for files that use international characters.
