Working with a Chart Legend (Report Builder)

A legend is a box that explains the meaning of the patterns or colors that are assigned to the data series or categories in a chart. By default, a legend is displayed when you select the chart report layout option. You can hide, move, and change the layout of a legend. If you display a legend, you can format the contents, border, and background of a legend as well.
