DistributionSubscription2 Object

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The DistributionSubscription2 object exposes the properties of a specific subscription to a publication maintained by a Distributor and extends the functionality of the DistributionPublisher object.

The DistributionSubscription2 object extends the functionality of the DistributionSubscription object, and it inherits the properties and methods of the DistributionSubscription object. You must take extra programmatic steps when using the DistributionSubscription2 object in an application that also runs with Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0.

Note

The DistributionSubscription2 object may not be compatible with SQL Server 7.0 or earlier.

The DistributionSubscription2 object extends the functionality of the DistributionSubscription object for use with features that were introduced in SQL Server 2000. It also inherits the properties and methods of the DistributionSubscription object.

The DistributionJobID method of the DistributionSubscription2 object may not be compatible with instances of SQL Server 7.0 or earlier. For more information about using the DistributionSubscription2 object in an application that also runs with an instance of SQL Server 7.0, refer to the Remarks section of the DistributionJobID Property.
