'Declaration
Public Property PartitionOption As PartitionOptions
public PartitionOptions PartitionOption { get; set; }
public:
property PartitionOptions PartitionOption {
    PartitionOptions get ();
    void set (PartitionOptions value);
}
/** @property */

/** @property */
public void set_PartitionOption (PartitionOptions value)
public function get PartitionOption () : PartitionOptions

public function set PartitionOption (value : PartitionOptions)

Property Value

A PartitionOptions value.

Remarks

If the source table for an article is already published in another publication, then the value of PartitionOption must be the same for both articles.

If you specify a value of NonOverlappingSingleSubscription for PartitionOption, there can be only a single subscription for each partition of data in the article. If a second subscription is created in which the filtering criterion of the new subscription resolves to the same partition as the existing subscription, the existing subscription is dropped when the new subscription is created.

The PartitionOption property can be retrieved by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher and at the Subscriber (for republishing Subscribers). It can also be retrieved by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database, by members of the replmonitor fixed database role at the Distributor, and by users who are members of the publication access list (PAL).

The PartitionOption property can be set by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher. It can also be set by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database.

Retrieving PartitionOption is equivalent to executing sp_helpmergearticle (Transact-SQL).

Setting PartitionOption is equivalent to executing sp_addmergearticle (Transact-SQL) or sp_changemergearticle (Transact-SQL).

The PartitionOption property is only available with Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
