Because the tables in a database are accessed in a variety of queries, the distribution of data within a table can affect how successful an index is. By updating the index statistics, the most efficient way of accessing the data will be selected.
This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
