TargetSet.Key.Inequality Operator (TargetSet.Key, Object)

Performs a Boolean equality operation to determine whether two target set keys reference the same target set.

Namespace:  Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Dmf
Assembly:  Microsoft.SqlServer.Dmf (in Microsoft.SqlServer.Dmf.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Shared Operator <> ( _
    leftOperand As TargetSet..::..Key, _
    obj As Object _
) As Boolean
'Usage
Dim leftOperand As TargetSet..::..Key
Dim obj As Object
Dim returnValue As Boolean

returnValue = (leftOperand <> obj)
public static bool operator !=(
    TargetSet..::..Key leftOperand,
    Object obj
)
public:
static bool operator !=(
    TargetSet..::..Key^ leftOperand,
    Object^ obj
)
static let inline (<>)
        leftOperand:TargetSet..::..Key *
        obj:Object  : bool
JScript supports the use of overloaded operators, but not the declaration of new ones.

Parameters

  • obj
    Type: System.Object
    A Object object representing the other target set to compare. If the object does not reference a TargetSet.Key, the method returns True.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
A Boolean value specifying whether the two target sets are the same. Returns True if the parameters reference separate target set, or if only one of the parameters is null. Otherwise, returns False.
