Gets or sets a Boolean property value that specifies whether the ANSI_PADDING_ENABLED database option is active.

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
A Boolean value that specifies whether the ANSI_PADDING_ENABLED database option is active.If True, trailing blanks inserted into variable-length columns are not trimmed.If False (default), blanks inserted into variable-length columns are trimmed.

Remarks

This property specifies whether trailing blanks in variable-length columns are trimmed.

This option can also be changed by using the Transact-SQL ALTER DATABASE statement.
