DPM System Recovery Tool (SRT) can back up a master boot code of a drive, a partition table, partition information, volume information, and the Logical Disk Manager database, allowing you to rebuild physically damaged or corrupted system drives. DPM SRT includes the following recovery tool feature set:

  • Open File Support. You can take recovery points of open files, such as database and system files.

  • Protect and Recover Encrypted and Compressed Files. DPM SRT extends its scope of protection to include encrypted and compressed files.

  • Support for X64-based Systems. Support has been added for Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

  • Recovery Set Editor. You can create custom recovery sets to specify which folders to include in a recovery point.

  • Enhanced Security. DPM SRT preserves directory and file access control lists.
