The GetManufacturer method, in Configuration Manager, gets the software update manufacturer (publisher).

     LanguageId  uLangId,
     BSTR*  pbstrUpdateManufacturer
);

Parameters

uLangId
Data type: LanguageId

Qualifiers: [in]

The ID of the language that is associated with the software update.

pbstrUpdateManufacturer
Data type: BSTR

Qualifiers: [out, retval]

Pointer to the name of the update manufacturer (publisher).

Return Values

An HRESULT code. Possible values include, but are not limited to, the following:

S_OK
The method succeeded.

Remarks

The caller is responsible for calling the string manipulation function SysFreeString when finished with the manufacturer string.
