How to Configure Integration

Applies To: Opalis 6.2.2

This topic describes how to configure the Opalis Management Server with connections to BMC Remedy IT Service Management System 7 and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007.

To configure a connection to the BMC Remedy IT Service Management System

  1. In the taskbar, click Start, click All Programs, and then click Opalis Software.

  2. Click Opalis Integration Server, and then click Opalis Integration Server Client.

  3. Start the Opalis Integration Server Client.

  4. On the Options menu, click BMC Remedy AR System.

  5. In the BMC Remedy AR System Connections dialog box, click Add.

  6. In the BMC Remedy AR System Connection Settings dialog box, type Help Desk in the Connection: Name box.

  7. In the Login: Computer box, type in the name of the computer that is running the BMC Remedy Service Management System.

  8. In the Login: User Name box and Login: Password box, enter the credentials for the service account.

  9. In the Mode: Application box, choose Remedy Incident Management.

  10. Click OK.

  11. Select the Help Desk connection and click Test Connection to verify the information was configured correctly.

  12. Click OK.

  13. Click Finish.

The connection to the BMC Remedy Service Management System is now configured.

To configure a connection to Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007

  1. In the Opalis Integration Server Client, on the Options menu, select Microsoft Operations Manager 2007.

  2. In the Microsoft Operations Manager 2007 Connections dialog box, click Add.

  3. In the Microsoft Operations Manager 2007 Connection Settings dialog box, type OpsMgr 2007 in the Connection: Name box.

  4. In the Login section, enter the user credentials for the Operations Manager service account.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click Finish.

The connection to Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 is now configured.
