Deploy Integration Packs
Applies To: Opalis 6.3
Opalis Integration Server comes with over 90 objects that perform a variety of functions. These objects are known as Foundation Objects. To expand and customize the functionality of Opalis Integration Server, you can purchase additional objects, known as integration packs. Integration packs interact with many different products to help you manage your entire IT infrastructure.
Registering and Deploying an Integration Pack with a Management Server
The following procedure contains general instructions that apply to most integration packs. See the integration pack guide for system requirements and any special installation instructions for that integration pack.
To register and deploy the integration pack
Copy the Name of integration pack.OIP file to a location of your choice on the Opalis Integration Server computer.
Click Start, click Programs, click Opalis Software, click Opalis Integration Server, and then click Deployment Manager.
In the left pane, expand Management Server. Right-click Integration Packs and click Register IP with the Management Server.
In the Integration Pack or Hotfix Selection dialog box, click Add. Locate and click the Name of integration pack.OIP file that you copied in step 1. Click Next.
Click Finish. The Log Entries pane will display a confirmation message when the integration pack is successfully registered.
In the left pane, right-click Integration Packs and click Deploy IP to Action Server or Client. Click the Name of integration pack, and then click Next.
Select the action server or client Computer on which you want to deploy the integration pack, click Add, and then click Next.
Select the Installation Configuration options that apply to this deployment, and then click Next.
Click Finish. The Log Entries pane will display a confirmation message when the integration pack is successfully deployed.
Close all affected clients and then open them again.
Manually Deploying an Integration Pack
There can be firewall or other restrictions that prevent you from deploying an integration pack using the Deployment Manager. If this is the case, you can install the integration pack manually using the following procedure.
To manually install an integration pack
Remove any previous versions of the integration pack using Windows Add/Remove Programs.
Copy the Windows Installer file associated with the integration pack to the <System Drive>:\Program Files\Opalis Software\Opalis Integration Server\Management Service\Components\Objects folder on the computer on which you want to install it.
Open the Windows Installer file and follow the instructions to install the integration pack.

The following section describes the Third Party System information that is collected and how it is used.
Interaction with Third Party Systems
What This Feature Does:
Opalis integration packs allow the Enterprise to interact with third party systems as part of an overall workflow "policy".
Information Collected, Processed, or Transmitted:
Opalis does not collect or send any such data, however third party systems might. Opalis may interact with third party systems such as to cause them to send information outside the Enterprise.
Use of Information:
Opalis does not send any information outside the enterprise. Such information would be sent by a third party system in response to activity driven by Opalis.
Review the privacy features and policies of the third party systems that are interacting with Opalis. If a third party system does in fact transmit this sort of information as part of interacting with Opalis, consult the privacy statement as well as other documentation provided by the third party system vendor for instructions on how to disable such transmission.
