Multiple Language Support

The language that appears in the user interface for Remote Web Workplace is determined by the preferred locale setting that is configured in the user’s Internet browser. This feature allows users in your organization from various locales to interact with Remote Web Workplace in their preferred language or a culturally neutral version of the language. In addition to English, the following localized languages are supported by Windows EBS:

  • Portuguese (Brazilian)

  • Chinese Simplified

  • Chinese Traditional

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Russian

  • Spanish

If the user’s preferred language is not supported by Windows EBS, Remote Web Workplace defaults to English.

If a specific locale is specified in the Internet browser, in most cases, Remote Web Workplace displays the user interface in the appropriate neutral language. For example, if a user’s locale setting is "es-MX (Spanish–Mexico)," Remote Web Workplace uses a version of Spanish that is not associated with a specific culture where Spanish is spoken.
