This article provides a resolution for the issue that the Consolidated Invoice process causes an error in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 Rollup 6 with ConsGLS.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

On the Account Receivable menu, you point to Periodic, and then select Consolidated Invoice. You choose Select, and then choose Select for new Invoice. When you select OK on the Inquiry form, you receive the following error message:

The total, internal size of the records in your joined SELECT statement is 24598 bytes, but Microsoft Dynamics is by default performance-tuned not to exceed 24576 bytes.

Cause

This problem occurs in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 Rollup 6 with ConsGLS.

Default Maximum buffer size is 24 kb. But internal size of the records in the joined SELECT statement is 24,598 bytes.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, specify the number 25 or more as the Maximum buffer size in the Database Tuning tab in the Microsoft Dynamics AX Server Configuration Utility. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. On the AOS server, select Administrative Tools.
  2. Select Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Server Configuration.
  3. In the Database Tuning tab, enter 25 or a larger number for the Maximum buffer size field.
