Data Source Library task pane

The Data Source Library task pane enables you to add, edit, or delete XML or database connections in your website.

  1. To add a new XML file to the Data Source Library, click Add an XML file under Local XML Files.

  2. To see the structure and content of an XML file, click the item in the library and then click Show Data.

  3. To see the location of and summary information about the file, click the item in the library and then click Properties.

  4. To edit or delete database connections that are stored in the web.config file of your ASP.NET website, click the name of the connection. For information about the web.config file, see ASP.NET Configura in the MSDN library.

  5. To create a connection to an Access database, an ODBC data source, a Microsoft SQL Server data source, or an Oracle database, click New ASP.NET Connection.

  6. Click Refresh library to show ASP.NET connections or XML files you add to your website that do not yet appear in the Data Source Library task pane.
