Adding files to source control
The first step in managing a project is to add all project files to the source control repository. When you add new files to a project, you must add them to source control too.
To add a new site to source control
In Microsoft Expression Web, click Site, and then click New Site.
Browse to a location that is in the project workspace, and create the new site there.
In the Folders panel, right-click the root folder of your site and click Add to Source Control.
To add an existing site to source control
In Windows Explorer, move the site folder to a location in the project workspace.
In Expression Web, click Site, and then click Open Site. Browse to the location to which you moved the site folder, and then click Open.
In the Folders panel, right-click the root folder of your site and click AddtoSource Control.
To add a single file to source control
- In the Folders panel, right-click the new file and click Add to Source Control.
To add multiple files to source control
In the Folders panel, hold down CTRL and click files to select them.
Click File, click Source Control, and then click Add to Source Control.
