SuperPreview online service

The Microsoft Expression Web SuperPreview online service is a beta service that extends the capability of SuperPreview to include support for additional browsers and operating systems.

SEO Checker

The SEO Checker feature of Expression Web analyzes your site against the best practices for getting the highest possible search-engine rankings for your site.

You can choose SEO options, display an SEO report, filter the results in the SEO report, and step forward and back through the list of results in the SEO report to see more detail for individual list items.

Symbol dialog box

The Symbol dialog box has been redesigned for Expression Web 4. It still inserts symbols and special characters into your web page but now it inserts them as valid HTML character entities.

HTML 5

Expression Web Service Pack 1 provides IntelliSense support for the HTML 5 tags in the Code view.

CSS3

Expression Web Service Pack 1 provides support for the draft CSS3 specification. In addition to IntelliSense support, CSS3 is supported in the CSS Properties pane, as well as the New Style and Modify Style dialog boxes.

SuperPreview – Logon-protected pages

Expression Web SuperPreview now supports logon authentication.

Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9 beta

Internet Explorer 9 beta is now supported as a local browser for both SuperPreview and the Expression Web Snapshot feature. Internet Explorer 8 is now built into SuperPreview. If you have Internet Explorer 9 beta installed, you can view page renderings in Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, and Internet Explorer 9 beta.
