How to: Solve a Model
After you bind data to parameters and decisions and configure goals, constraints, and directives, you can validate and solve the model. Then, you can read the summary, solver execution details, and the stochastic and sensitivity reports.
To validate the model
In the Solver Foundation ribbon, click Check.
In the Modeling Pane, review the log to verify that there are no errors.
To solve the model
In the Solver Foundation ribbon, click Solve.
In the Modeling Pane, review the log to verify that there are no errors.
To view the summary
In the Solver Foundation ribbon, click Summary.
Excel changes the focus to the Solver Foundation Summary worksheet.
Review the summary report.
