Platforms, ATL Smart Device Project Wizard

The Platforms page of the ATL Smart Device Project Wizard specifies the platforms and instruction sets to be supported by the new ATL project.

  • Platform window
Specifies the platforms the project is to target. The available platforms are installed either with Visual Studio, or with separate Windows Mobile or Windows CE Software Development Kits (SDKs).

  • Instruction sets and devices panel
Lists the supported instruction sets and devices for the platform selected in the Platform window.

  • Installed SDKs
Displays a list of other available platforms such as Smartphone 2003, Pocket PC 2003. You can use the buttons to add one or all to the Selected SDKs. You can also use the buttons to remove one or all to Selected SDKs.

  • Selected SDKs
Displays a list of selected (targeted) platforms such as Smartphone 2003, Pocket PC 2003.

Note

After you have created a project, you can always add another platform such as Smartphone 2003 after you create a device project by using the application wizards. However, adding a new platform to the project after the initial creation does not add the dependent runtime DLLs to the Additional Files config property for the new platform.
