Array.length<'T> Function (F#)

Returns the length of an array.

Parameters

  • array
    Type: 'T []

    The input array.

Return Value

The length of the array.

Remarks

You can also use property Length.

This function is named Length in compiled assemblies. If you are accessing the function from a language other than F#, or through reflection, use this name.

The following code example demonstrates how to use Array.length.

Array.length [| 1 .. 100 |] |> printfn "Length: %d"
Array.length [| |] |> printfn "Length: %d"
Array.length [| 1 .. 2 .. 100 |] |> printfn "Length: %d"
