Modifying a Build Definition for Team Foundation Server 2010

If you must modify a build definition for Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010, you can update that build definition in the Build Definition dialog box. You might modify a build definition, for example, to change the build trigger from manual to an automatic build, or you might enable a build definition that you had temporarily disabled.

Required Permissions

To perform this procedure, you must have the Edit Build Definition permission set to Allow. For more information, see the following page on the Microsoft Web site: Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To modify a build definition for Team Foundation Server 2010

  1. In Team Explorer, expand the team project for which you want to modify a build definition.

  2. Expand the Builds node, right-click the build definition that you want to modify, and click Edit Build Definition.

    The Build Definition dialog box appears.

  3. Use the same procedures to modify the build definition that you used to create it:
