IssuerNameRegistry.GetIssuerName Method (SecurityToken, String)

[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. When implemented in a derived class, returns the name of the issuer of the specified security token. The specified issuer name may be considered in determining the issuer name to return.

Parameters

  • securityToken
    A SecurityToken that represents the security token for which to return the issuer name.
  • requestedIssuerName
    A string that contains an issuer name to consider in the request.

Return Value

A string that contains the issuer name.

Remarks

The default implementation ignores requestedIssuerName and simply calls the IssuerNameRegistry.GetIssuerName(SecurityToken) method.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
