Saml11SecurityTokenHandler.ReadSigningKeyInfo Method

Reads the ds:KeyInfo element inside the Saml Signature.

Parameters

  • reader
    An XmlReader that can be positioned at a ds:KeyInfo element.
  • assertion
    The assertion that is having the signature checked.

Return Value

The SecurityKeyIdentifier that defines the key to use to check the signature.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
ArgumentNullException

The input parameter 'reader' is null.

InvalidOperationException

Unable to read the KeyIdentifier from the XmlReader.

Remarks

If the reader is not positioned at a ds:KeyInfo element, the SecurityKeyIdentifier returned will contain a single SecurityKeyIdentifierClause of type EmptySecurityKeyIdentifierClause

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
