SignInRequestMessage.AuthenticationType Property

Gets or sets the wauth parameter of the message.

Property Value

A string that contains the authentication type. This is specified as a URI.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
ArgumentException

An attempt to set a value that is not a valid URI occurs.

Remarks

The wauth parameter is similar to the wst:AuthenticationType element defined in WS-Trust. The value should be set to a string that contains a URI that identifies the type of authentication used.

Set to null or an empty string to remove the wauth parameter from the message.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
