BackgroundAudioPlayer.Track Property

[ This article is for Windows Phone 8 developers. If you’re developing for Windows 10, see the latest documentation. ]

Gets or sets the current track for this application, whether the application is currently playing or not.

Namespace:  Microsoft.Phone.BackgroundAudio
Assembly:  Microsoft.Phone (in Microsoft.Phone.dll)

Syntax

Public Property Track As AudioTrack
public AudioTrack Track { get; set; }

Property Value

Type: Microsoft.Phone.BackgroundAudio..::.AudioTrack
Returns AudioTrack.

Remarks

When the Track is set, existing audio playback is stopped for the current application. If another application's queue is playing, it is not stopped.

Setting or changing the Track does not start playback. To start playback of the track, call Play()()().

Setting the Track to null clears the queue.

Volume settings may not be retained in background audio player applications. This can occur if you set the Volume property first and then call the Play()()() method and then set the Track property. To resolve this issue, always set the track before calling the Play method.
