Property Sheets 

A property sheet (often referred to as a properties dialog box) is a modeless secondary window that displays the user-accessible properties of an object—that is, properties that the user can view (and possibly edit). Property sheets are often opened from the Properties command. Because an object’s property sheet is inherently oriented to that object, property sheets are not dedicated to completing a task—unlike a dialog box or wizard.

Property sheets are divided into pages—represented visually by (and referred to) as tabs—which allow you to categorize and group properties as sets within the property sheet, as shown in the following figure.
