IFPCNonWindowsUsers::Add method

The Add method creates a new FPCNonWindowsUser object in the collection and returns a reference to it.

Parameters

  • Username [in]

    C++ Required. BSTR that specifies the name of the user.
    VB Required. String that specifies the name of the user.
  • Namespace

    C++ Required. BSTR that specifies the user's namespace, which identifies the authentication scheme that will be used for the user. The value supplied should not contain more than UNLEN characters. UNLEN is defined in Lmcons.h.
    VB Required. String that specifies the user's namespace, which identifies the authentication scheme that will be used for the user. The value supplied should not contain more than UNLEN characters. UNLEN is defined in Lmcons.h.
  • ppNonWindowsUser [out]
    Address of an interface pointer that on return points to the new IFPCNonWindowsUser interface created.

Return value

C++

This method can return one of the following:

  • S_OK, indicating that the operation succeeded.
  • An error code, indicating that the operation failed. In this case, the [out] parameter returned is a null object.

VB

This method returns a reference to an FPCNonWindowsUser object if successful. Otherwise, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

Remarks

This function does not validate the length of the value supplied in the Namespace parameter. A namespace containing more than UNLEN characters should not be used.
