IFPCPrimaryRoute::AuthenticationType property

The AuthenticationType property gets or sets a value from the FpcAuthType enumerated type that specifies the type of authentication to use for establishing a connection with an upstream proxy server on the primary route.

This property is read/write.

Property value

Value from the FpcAuthType enumerated type that specifies the type of authentication to use for establishing a connection with an upstream proxy server on the primary route.

Error codes

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is fpcUiAuthIntegrated, which indicates that Integrated authentication will be used for establishing a connection with an upstream proxy server on the primary route.

Note that Basic authentication (fpcUiAuthBasic) does not use encryption.

This property is applicable only if the AuthenticationEnabled property is set to True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++).
