Element Description

<entry>

Contains information about an object in a connected data source.

Remarks

For file-based management agents, you must configure an anchor attribute. For most protocol management agents, Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service (FIM Synchronization Service) uses a known value that uniquely identifies the object. For example, FIM Synchronization Service uses the object GUID for Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) management agents.

The anchor of an object never changes during the lifetime of the object.
