Attrib.BinaryValue Property

Gets or sets the binary representation of the attribute value. Use this property with single-valued attributes only. Do not use this property for multi-valued attributes.

Property Value

Returns a Byte object.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
System.InvalidOperationException

The Attrib object is being set to one of the following:

  • A non-binary value

  • A null value

  • More than one value

If you are unsure of the data type of an Attrib object, use the Value property or the Values property for multi-valued attributes.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
