aboutToInsertRows

Indicates that the specified rows are about to be inserted. aboutToInsertRows is an event handler method, implemented through OLEDBSimpleProvider::addOLEDBSimpleProviderListener. This notification is issued just prior to the rows being inserted, either through a call to OLEDBSimpleProvider::insertRows or internally by the provider.

Important

This feature will be removed in a future version of Windows. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature. Instead, write a fully functional OLE DB provider using the native OLE DB interfaces.

   DBROWCOUNT   iRow,
   DBROWCOUNT   cRows);

Parameters

  • iRow
    [in] Starting position of the rows to be inserted.

  • cRows
    [in] Number of rows to be inserted.

Return Codes

  • S_OK
    The method succeeded.

  • E_FAIL
    A provider-specific error occurred.
