Logging Application Management Errors

Using the RSOP_PolicySettingStatus class, selected RSoP WMI classes log an error for each policy setting that fails to apply.

The RSOP_ApplicationManagementPolicySetting class logs error information for any application that fails to apply (install) or uninstall. That is, if a RSOP_ApplicationManagementPolicySetting MOF class instance has an EntryType property value equal to "Applied" or "Removed", the instance can have an associated RSOP_PolicySettingStatus instance.

Be aware that application management client-side extensions do not log RSOP_PolicySettingStatus instances when an application applies or uninstalls successfully.
