Removing Application Registration
Removing a registered action depends on the method used to register the application. In each case, the exact same registration XML must be used with the exact same parameter set to remove an application registration.
- Run the %windir%\ehome\RegisterMCEApp.exe utility with the /u switch.
- Use the ApplicationContext.RegisterApplication method with the UnRegister argument set to true.
Unregistering an application does not delete any of the application files but rather removes the ability to launch the application from within Windows Media Center. Removal of application binaries (uninstalling) should be managed from the Programs and Features Control Panel.
